On November 1, 2010 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative coins of precious metals:
* a gold proof coin in denomination 1000 Rubles “The Warship “Goto Predestination” of the series “The History of Russian Navy”.
The gold proof coin in denomination of 1000 Rubles “The Warship “Goto Predestination” (fine metal content 155.5g, fineness 999/1000, catalogue number 5220-0008, diameter 50.0 mm, mintage 500 pcs) has the rim, raised on both sides of the coin along the circumference.
The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it “БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin “ОДНА ТЫСЯЧА РУБЛЕЙ” (ONE THOUSAND RUBLES) and the year of issue “2010”, between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the trade mark of the Moscow Mint and the fine precious metal content.
The reverse: the relief image of the sailing vessel “Goto Predestination” and a symbolic image of the wind rose being the element of old nautical maps. The inscription at the top along the circumference is – “ГОТО ПРЕДЕСТИНАЦИЯ” (GOTO PREDESTINATION).
The edge of the coin is corrugated.
