From 23 April the BNB releases in circulation a silver commemorative coin ‘Chudnite Mostove’

To celebrate Earth Day, from 23 April 2012 the BNB releases in circulation a silver commemorative coin ‘Chudnite Mostove’ (Wondrous Bridges). It will be sold at the BNB cash desks for BGN 78, VAT included.

The coin is aimed at arousing educational and collectors’ interest, and becoming a suitable present for all lovers of tourism and Bulgarian nature. This is the second coin of a series dedicated to natural phenomena in Bulgaria, following the one dedicated to the Belogradchik rocks.

Chudnite Mostove

The obverse of the coin features the logo of the Bulgarian National Bank and the year ‘1879’ inscribed on the ribbon. The inscriptions ‘БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА’ (Bulgarian National Bank), the nominal value of the coin ‘10 ЛЕВА’ (BGN 10) and the year of issue ‘2012’ go in circumference.

The reverse features the image of Chudnite Mostove with ‘ПРИРОДЕН ФЕНОМЕН ЧУДНИТЕ МОСТОВЕ’ (NATURAL PHENOMENON WONDROUS BRIDGES) inscribed in circumference.
