On December 21, 2009 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues a silver proof commemorative coin “The Intercession Cathedral in the City of Voronezh” of the series “The Architectural Monuments of Russia” in denomination of 3 Rubles.

The coin has a gold insert on its reverse side. Fine silver content is 31.1g (fineness 925/1000), fine precious metal content of the gold insert is 1.55g (fineness 999/1000). The catalogue number of the coin is 5611-0004. The coin is 39.0 mm in diameter.

The mintage is up to 7500 pcs.

The rim is raised on the both sides of the coin along the circumference.

The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia – the two headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA) under it. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE RUBLES) and the year of issue "2009", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the fineness, the trade mark of the St. Petersburg Mint and the fine silver content.

The reverse: relief images of the Intercession Cathedral in the City of Voronezh and of a church bell, made as a gold insert. At the bottom there are two inscriptions – "ВОРОНЕЖ" (Voronezh) and “ПОКРОВСКИЙ СОБОР” (The Intercession Cathedral). The gold insert bears the indications of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity and the fine gold content.

On September 1, 2011 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative

coins of precious metals:

- a silver proof coin in denomination of 25 Roubles "The Kazan Cathedral, St. Petersburg" of the series "Architectural Monuments of Russia".

The description of the coin of precious metals.

The silver proof coin in denomination of 25 Roubles "The Kazan Cathedral, St Petersburg" (fine metal content 155.5g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5115-0064, diameter 60.0 mm, mintage 1500 pcs), has the rim, raised on both sides of the coins along the circumference.

The obverse: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" (TWENTY FIVE ROUBLES), and the year of issue "2011", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the trade mark of the Saint-Petersburg Mint and the fine precious metal content.

The reverse depicts the image of The Kazan Cathedral, St.Petersburg against the background of the City panorama. The inscriptions along the rim say: "КАЗАНСКИЙ СОБОР"( THE KAZAN CATHEDRAL) - at the top and "САНКТ – ПЕТЕРБУРГ" (ST. PETERSBURG) – at the bottom.

The inscriptions are: at the top along the circumference "СВЯТО-ТРОИЦКИЙ МОНАСТЫРЬ" (SAINT-TRINITY MONASTERY) and at the bottom - "МУРОМ" (MUROM).

The silver proof coins in denomination of of 25 Roubles (fine metal content 155.5 g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue number 5115-0070, diameter 60.0 mm, mintage 2000 pcs) have the rim, raised on both sides of the coins along the circumference.

- of the silver coin in denomination of 25 Roubles depicts the relief image of the Museum Estate of V.D. Polenov against the background of trees framed by a stylized floral ornamental pattern. The inscription in two lines at the bottom part of the coin says "МУЗЕЙ-ЗАПОВЕДНИК В.Д. ПОЛЕНОВА" (MUSEUM-ESTATE OF V.D. POLENOV).

The coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
