Hallo, gibt es zu dem "Fünf-Unzen- Programm" schon weitere Einzelheiten ? Ich wurde bisher noch nirgendwo "fündig".

The situation looks like that:
- The mint will produce 500 000 pcs. of bullion coins, expected equal amounts of each design.
- The production will start sometime in the fall.
- The coin will be produced by Philadelphia Mint.
- The Mint officials are exploring possibilities of producing coins in unc. and proof versions so they could sell them directly via mint web-shop to the collectors.

New collectible sets feature coins in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program

WASHINGTON - Mid-November will mark the debut of three new collectible sets containing quarter-dollar coins issued under the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program. The new sets will feature the first five coins in the program, honoring Hot Springs National Park (Arkansas), Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming), Yosemite National Park (California), Grand Canyon National Park (Arizona), and Mount Hood National Forest (Oregon). Here's what collectors can expect:

* 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin SetTM - Hot Springs. This set contains two uncirculated quality Hot Springs National Park quarters-one each from the United States Mint facilities at Philadelphia and Denver-and one proof quality coin from the United States Mint at San Francisco. The coins are mounted on a durable plastic card and include a brief description of the site and the coin design, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity on the back. The set is priced at $13.95 and will be available for purchase November 17. The remaining 2010 issues of the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Sets will be released in 2011.

* 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin SetTM. This ten-coin set contains the first five America the Beautiful Quarters® coins in circulating quality-one of each quarter from the United States Mint facilities at Philadelphia and Denver. The packaging allows the coins to be easily removed and placed into albums or other numismatic accessories. The set is priced at $9.95 and will be available for purchase November 19.

* 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin SetTM. This ten-coin set contains the first five America the Beautiful Quarters® coins in uncirculated quality-one of each quarter from the United States Mint facilities at Philadelphia and Denver. Each set is priced at $21.95 and will be available for purchase November 23.

Each of the three-coin sets will feature an uncirculated quarter from the United States Mint at Philadelphia, an uncirculated quarter from the United States Mint at Denver and a proof quarter from the United States Mint at San Francisco with images specific to each site. The coins are held in a durable plastic card and include a brief description of the site and the coin, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the card.

This product will be available for sale on November 19, 2010 at 12:00 Noon (ET).

The packaging allows customers to easily open the packaging if desired so the coins may be removed and placed into albums or other collecting tools.

Die sind doch schon ausgegeben. Aber da gibt es gewaltigen Ärger in USA, da die weniger Händler, die die von der US Mint bekommen haben, die nur mit riesigem Preisaufschlag weitergeben. Schau mal ins amerikanische Ebay ...
