The obverse of the coin features the logo of the Bulgarian National Bank with the year “1879” written on the ribbon. In circumference is the wording “БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА”, the nominal value of the coin “2 ЛЕВА” and the year of issue “2009”.

The reverse of the coin features the image of the artist Dechko Uzunov, and the wording "110 ГОДИНИ ОТ РОЖДЕНИЕТО НА ДЕЧКО УЗУНОВ" ('110th ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF DECHKO UZUNOV’).

The author of the artistic design is Peter Stoykov.
