The coins are round. The rim is raised on both sides of the coin. The edge of the coins is corrugated.
Obverse: at the bottom – the relief of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; in the center – the relief of stork, standing on the basis of semicircular decorative composition, including symbols of family, mothrhood, child and sun; beneath: year of issue, silver coin – alloy standard and face–value: "20 РУБЛЁЎ" (20 ROUBLES), copper–nickel coin – face–value: "1 РУБЕЛЬ" (1 ROUBLE); at the top along the rim – inscription "РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (REPUBLIC OF BELARUS).
Reverse: at the center – on the background of the ornament, the image of baby in clothes for baptism, which is above the font. Over the shirt wearing a cross, made with pad–printing. At the top – the figures of two angels and a dove, beneath – the inscription "ХРЭСЬБІНЫ" ("Christening").
