Telephone Herald” collector coin

On 15 February 2008 the Magyar Nemzeti Bank issued a cupronickel collector coin with a face value of HUF 1,000 called “Telephone Herald”.
On the obverse of the square-shaped collector coin there are the compulsory details – the legend REPUBLIC OF HUNGARY, the face value, the year of minting, and the mint mark –, while on the reverse the inventor Tivadar Puskás is shown while using the telephone newspaper.
The coin was designed by Áron Bohus
25,000 coins may be struck, of which 15,000 are produced by the special proof technology.
