From 1 September the BNB releases in circulation a partially
gold-plated silver commemorative coin ‘125 Years of the Unification of Bulgaria’
From 1 September 2010 the Bulgarian National Bank releases in circulation a partially gold-plated silver commemorative coin ‘125 Years of the Unification of Bulgaria’. It will be sold at the BNB cash desks for BGN 60 (sixty levs), VAT included.
‘125 Years of the Unification of Bulgaria’ is the third commemorative coin issued by the BNB from the beginning of this year. The coin ‘140 Years of Bulgarian Exarchate’ has been in circulation since February and the coin ‘Belogradchik Rocks’ – since April. They are also of BGN 10 nominal value.

125 Years of the Unification of Bulgaria
The obverse of the coin features the logo of the Bulgarian National Bank with the year ‘1879’ written on the ribbon. In circumference is the wording ‘БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА’ (BULGARIAN NATIONAL BANK), the year of issue ‘2010, and the nominal value of the coin ‘10 ЛЕВА’ (BGN 10).
The partially gold-plated reverse of the coin features the stamp of the Bulgarian Secret Central Revolutionary Committee founded in 1885 in Plovdiv. In circumference is the wording ‘125 ГОДИНИ ОТ СЪЕДИНЕНИЕТО НА БЪЛГАРИЯ’ (125 YEARS OF THE UNIFICATION OF BULGARIA).
