Series “International Coin Programme of the Eurasian Economic Community Member States”

On August 1, 2011 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative coins of precious metals:
- two silver proof coins in denomination of 3 Roubles “The World of Our Children” and “The Great Silk Way” of the series “International Coin Programme of the Eurasian Economic Community Member States”;
The description of the coins of precious metals
Silver proof coins in denomination of 3 Roubles of the series “International Coin Programme of the Eurasian Economic Community Member States” (fine metal content 31,1g, fineness 925/1000, catalogue numbers 5111-0216 and 5111-0217 respectively, diameter 39,0 mm, mintage 5000 pcs of each design) have the rim raised on both sides of the coins along the circumference.
The obverse side: the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it “БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin “ТРИ РУБЛЯ” (THREE ROUBLES) and the year of issue “2011”, between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the St. Petersburg mint trade mark and the fine precious metal content.
The reverse side:
- of the first coin (“The World of Our Children”) bears relief images of three children and their drawings in chalk made in colour, an inscription at the top «МИР НАШИХ ДЕТЕЙ» (WORLD OF OUR CHILDREN) and the emblem of the EUROASIAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY – EAEC.
- of the second coin (The Great Silk Way) bears relief images of two camels and a driver sitting on one of the animals against the background of the ruins, a leftward inscription in three lines “ВЕЛИКИЙ ШЕЛКОВЫЙ ПУТЬ” (THE GREAT SILK WAY) and the emblem of the EUROASIAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY – EAEC.
The edge of the coins is corrugated.
