– all of these integral principles are celebrated by the Finnish commemorative coin. This year's second BU coin set is dedicated to the Finnish two euro special coins. The series contains all Finnish 2011 euro coins and the year's two euro special coin.
Launched on 17 October, this year's second BU coin set marks the start of a new theme, coins and collection, commemorating Finnish special coins. Starting from this collection, the theme of the second yearly BU coin set will always be related to coins and will commemorate a coin-related phenomenon.
Each year, Mint of Finland launches two coin sets consisting of that year's Finnish circulation coins in matte BU quality. Traditionally, Finnish lighthouses have been the theme for each year's first coin set.

Special coins commemorate events in Finnish life and history
Ten two euro commemorative coins have been issued in Finland since 2004. Finnish history has provided the themes for the two euro commemorative coins. Topics have been chosen from among events that have touched everyone.
The 2011 commemorative coin celebrates the Bank of Finland's 200th anniversary. The Finnish nation achieved a landmark success in 1811 when the Bank of Finland was founded.
Every year, each Eurozone member state is allowed to issue a two-euro commemorative coin with its own motif. The reverse side of the coin is the same as that of a regular two-euro coin, while the commemorative design is minted on the obverse side. Eurozone member states may also issue a common commemorative coin.
Between 1.5 and 2.5 million units of each Finnish commemorative coin have been minted.
