This €10 Silver Proof coin will be launched on 29 January 2014. The coin, which bears the Europa symbol, is part of the European Silver Programme. The theme for 2014 is ‘European Musicians’.

The coin depicts the famous Irish tenor John McCormack and has been designed by Michael Guilfoyle. The issue limit for this silver proof coin is only 8,000 pieces. The diameter of the coin is 38.61 mm and each coins weigh 28.28 grammes. The alloy used in the production of this coin is .925 Sterling Silver.
