Statement from the 27th Meeting of the Bank Board of the NBS


The 27th Meeting of the Bank Board of Narodna banka Slovenska was held on 7 August 2007, chaired by Ivan Sramko, Governor.

The Bank Board of the NBS approved the Plan of printing and striking of the Slovak currency for the year 2008.

The coinage of the following three commemorative coins for collectors´ set was approved for 2008:

a) a commemorative silver coin of nominal value 500 Slovak crowns with the motif "Protection of Nature and Landscape - Low Tatras National Park",

b) a commemorative gold coin of nominal value 5000 Slovak crowns with the motif "Coronations in Bratislava - 400th anniversary of the coronation of Matej II",

c) a commemorative silver coin of nominal value 1000 Slovak crowns with the motif "Farewell to the Crown Currency and to the Slovak Crown".
