If you want to upload a preview-image for your .pdf file - this is the easiest way

open file in pdf-viewer (acrobat-reader)
view full screen (strg+L)
copy to clipboard (print-key)
esc-key (quit full screen)
paste to graphics program (strg+v)
save as *.jpg or *.png
upload to forum
