Nikos Kazantzakis (griechisch Νίκος Καζαντζάκης, * 18. Februarjul./ 2. März 1883greg. in Iraklio, Kreta, Osmanisches Reich; † 26. Oktober 1957 in Freiburg im Breisgau) war einer der bedeutendsten griechischen Schriftsteller des 20. Jahrhunderts.

DISPENSATION OF THE HELLENIC COMMEMORATIVE CIRCULATION 2€ COIN OF 2017: “60 YEARS IN MEMORIAM OF NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS”
With this neswsletter we inform you that the Ministry of Finance - General Accounting Office (G.A.O.) is pleased to announce that that as of 13/7/2017, the new 2€ commemorative circulation coin “60 YEARS IN MEMORIAM OF NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS” with year mark 2017 and issuing volume of 750,000 pieces, will circulate.

The coin’s outer ring features the 12 stars of the European Union. The central field of the coin features a profile portrait of Nikos Kazantzakis, one of Greece’s greatest 20th-century writers. Inscribed along the inner edge, at left, is the wording “HELLENIC REPUBLIC” and the name “NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS” (in Greek). At top is the year of issuance “2017” and at centre left a palmette (the mintmark of the Greek Mint). Also visible at lower right is the monogram of the artist (George Stamatopoulos).
The edge lettering and the common side on the commemorative coin are the same as on regular 2€ coins.

Also ich habe um 09:10 Uhr das Bestellformular runtergeladen und Bestellung versendet. Auch jetzt funktioniert die Seite bei mir problemlos und ich kann das Formular runterladen.

Angesichts der zu erwartenden hohen Portokosten und der Tatsache daß man diesmal die beiden 2-Euro-Münzen nicht zusammen bestellen kann halte ich es für fraglich, ob sich die Direktbestellung überhaupt lohnt.
