Meiner Meinung nach eine der schönsten Euro-Goldmünzen überhaupt. Die versuche ich schon seit längerem zu bekommen, allerdings sind die Preise dafür recht hoch, häufig wird sie auch ohne Originaletui angeboten.

Visitors to Mint of Finland’s website voted the First Finnish Gold Euro as the most beautiful gold coin of all times. Approximately a thousand visitors to the website participated in the vote. 200 years of the Diet of Porvoo gold coin was raffled among the participants. The raffle was officially supervised by Seppo J. Partanen, honorary member of the Gold Prospectors’ Association of Finland and expert on Finnish gold.

As a result of the vote on Mint of Finland’s website between April 6 and May 21, the First Finnish Gold Euro from 2002 was voted the most beautiful gold coin. As its name suggests, the collector coin designed by Toivo Jaatinen is the first Finnish euro coin made of gold. The most beautiful gold coin was inspired by the nature of Lapland.
”Rogues, fraudsters and heroes”
200 years of the Diet of Porvoo gold coin was raffled among the participants on June 15. Seppo J. Partanen, who officially supervised the raffle, is an expert on Finnish gold and an honorary member of the Gold Prospectors’ Association of Finland. Partanen has published several works on the history of Finnish gold and provided expertise on the history of Lappish gold in the production of and the finishing touches on the script of Åke Lindman’s film and television series, Lapin kullan kimallus (The glitter of Lappish gold).
”The past of Finnish gold prospectors includes rogues, fraudsters and heroic tales. For thousands of years, mankind has searched for the philosopher’s stone to transform base metals into gold. Gold continues to fascinate mankind, and gold prospecting is a hobby for thousands of Finns of all ages,” Partanen says.
Finnish gold is in great demand around the world
Mint of Finland tends to use Finnish gold in its products. However, the most beautiful gold coin is not made of Finnish gold. ”Finland is about to become a leading gold producer in Europe, but so far, we have been unable to use Finnish gold in all gold coins, since Finnish gold is enriched in Central Europe for coin manufacturing,” says Mint of Finland’s CEO Paul Gustafsson.
Mint of Finland has included all golden collector coins in the Gold from the Motherland collection, which is available at Mint of Finland’s webstore. The collection includes the 75th Anniversary of Finnish Independence, the 80th Anniversary of Finnish Independence and the Finnish currency 150 years gold coins.

Ich denke mal der Glückliche wird persönlich benachrichtigt. Finde ich auch besser als z.B. die Veröffentlichung der Kundennummer à la AASFN.
