The Central Bank of Malta has launched its 2023-coin programme. It features a range of silver and gold coins as well as commemorative €2 coin products. Details of the products will be found on the attached leaflet.

Four packages catering for different collector tastes will be available. These range from the exclusive Platinum Package to the now standard Gold and Silver Packages and the popular and much sought after €2 Coin Package.

Collectors purchasing any of the Platinum, Gold and Silver Packages will be given the following benefits:
Special reductions on the price of gold and silver coins
A guaranteed allocation of two €2 Coin Packages. If the buyer decides to take up this offer, he/she must inform the Malta Coin Centre of their intention by not later than 19 March 2023. After this date no guarantee of €2 coin packages can be given.
Priority on the allocation of products produced through third-party collaborations with the Central Bank of Malta.
Details about packages and how to purchase them will be communicated separately at a later date.

Bei der Auflage und scheinbar keinen Rollen mehr, dürfte auch das dieses Jahr eine normale Ausgabe werden und eine Direktbestellung nicht mehr lohnenswert.

Auflage ähnlich dem des Vatikans oder Andorra.

Da geht es um die Vorabreservierung.
Ich gehe mal schwer davon aus, dass das was übrig bleibt auch im Shop angeboten wird.
Ist aber reine Mutmaßung.

So hohe Gold- und Silbermünzenauflagen haben die Malteser nicht.

Aber warum solch Eile? Auflage und die Versandkosten machen es absolut unattraktiv.

Ich wollte auch erst das Silber Paket nehmen. Habe mich aber dann aufgrund der Auflage und des Fehlens von Rollen umentschieden.

Nichts würde hier Preise jenseits vom Vatikan und Andorra rechtfertigen :grins:

Ausserdem wären die 2-Euro-Münzen selbst auf dem Zweitmarkt billiger als das zusätzliche Silberpaket.

Und man braucht ja nur die zweite 2-Euro-Münze im Blister, denn die erste ist ja traditionell schon im KMS eingebaut.

Das jährt sich 2024 zum 25. Mal. Könnte man ja auch eine Münze rausbringen....

Platinum, Gold & Silver packages are now available
From today 6th March, purchases of Platinum, Gold and Silver packages may be made online. These will be available only until Sunday 19th March 2023 or until stocks last.

Purchases may also be made from the Malta Coin Centre counter, at The Central Bank of Malta premises in Valletta, between today and Friday 17th March 2023, from 8:30am to 12:30pm or until stocks last.

Purchases by email, or over the phone, will not be accepted.

The quantity of Platinum packages issued will be announced at a later date.

Bookings for the €2 Package will open in April, and further details will follow.

Purchases of the 2023 commemorative €2 coin packages will be available only online from 20th April 2023 at 11.00am Central European Time (CET). These will be available on a first-come-first-served basis and until stocks last.

All requests will be processed through an online queueing system, which will ensure a fair and transparent process. The queueing system will automatically inform prospective online buyers of their place in the virtual queue and expected waiting time. When you get to the front of the queue, and it’s your turn to purchase, you will only have 10 minutes to complete your purchase.


Important Terms & Conditions:

Each collector may purchase up to a maximum of two commemorative €2 coin Packages. Purchases over and above this allocation will be automatically cancelled and refunded. Refunds will incur an administrative fee of €5.
All those who purchased a Platinum/Gold/Silver package during 2023 are not eligible to buy further €2 packages in their name.
A standard Courier/Administration fee is set for each order which is non-refundable.
Delivery of the commemorative €2 coin packages is planned for September.
Purchases by email, or over the phone, will not be accepted.
No sales of the commemorative €2 coin products will be made from the Malta Coin Centre Counter at the Central Bank of Malta in Valletta.
