200 Anniversary of the birth of Juliusz Słowacki

NBP will issue a collectors note with face value of 20 zloty on the occasion of 200 Anniversary of the birth of Polish poet Juliusz Słowacki. The new note will go on sale on September 23 2009. The issue price is not know, yet.

On the front of the banknote has been placed a bust of Julius Słowacki and years of his life - 1809-1849, in addition to - view Krzemieniec - chalet in Ukraine, where the poet was born. Today, there is the recently opened Museum of Julius Słowacki.

On the reverse of the banknote depicts the portion of the reproduction of the autograph line "sedation." This is one of the poems in which the poet presents his views on the meaning of the philosophy of human life and the essence of the universe. On the left column of the image is placed Sigismund III Vasa at Castle Square in Warsaw, and profiles of bound cranes. It is a symbolic representation of the capital with which the poet has been closely linked.

The authors note the project are Maciej Kopecki - Chief Graphic Production Polish Securities and Przemyslaw Krajewski, an artist engraver PWPW SA.
